“Mission – Averie” is an exciting new Action/Sci-Fi/Thriller shot on 35mm film in Los Angeles. The independently produced film will premiere as a 25-minute short in the Summer 2025. Written and directed by Maxwell Moore, the project combines vintage visual style with a modern, high-stakes narrative.
The logline:
After receiving high tech bionic arms from the CIA after a near-death car accident, a young woman is recruited to become their Elite assassin. But everything changes when she feels love for the first time. Will she be able to take down the father of her new love interest?

While at dinner at a local restaurant in the middle of the Mojave desert, Milo is motivating Averie to be herself and be who she wants to be.
Feet of 35mm Film
13546 feet of 35mm film was used to shoot "Mission - Averie". The film was shot in Los Angeles on a legendary motion picture camera from 1984, the MOVIECAM Super, an incredible machine quiet enough to shoot sound on set.
Minutes
226 minutes of raw film was shot to obtain the final cut of "Mission - Averie" - which will be a total duration of 20 minutes. This is a ratio of 9 to 1, which is considered normal for an indie film.
